Lordbound

Large-scale DLC expansion for Bethesda's popular action-RPG.

Lordbound is an unofficial mod/expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition that introduces a vast new region—larger even than Solstheim—filled with quests, events, and locations to explore. It was developed by the Lordbound Team and originally released on October 2, 2025.

It takes place when, after two hundred years of isolation, the Vale of Druadach reconnects with the provinces of Skyrim and High Rock, exposing its ruins and reopening ancient trade routes. Amidst the conflict, the orc chieftain Gorek of Garshakur refuses to surrender his fortress to the Imperial Legion, while the inhabitants seek refuge in the city of Highreach, home of the young Lord Haelan—whose lineage holds secrets that could decide the fate of the vale.

Besides the new, dense, and mountainous territory, Lordbound offers over 60 hours of content across main and side quests, dungeons, and optional activities. Additionally, it brings new gear, three new factions, an original soundtrack, and fully voiced NPCs. This is one of those Skyrim mods that, like Wyrmstooth or The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal, has DLC scope.

Synopsis

The drums of war are beating inside the Druadach Valley. After two hundred years of isolation the valley has restored its severed connections to the provinces of Skyrim and High Rock, exposing its withered remains to the rest of Tamriel. Chief Gorek of Garshakur refuses to surrender his mountain fortress to the Imperial Legion, denying them control of the highly-valued trade route between the cities of Jehanna and Solitude.

As the war wages on, the people of Druadach are forced to seek protection within the walls of Highreach, home of the young Lord Haelan – but even the last bastion of Druadach is threatening to fall at the hands of a mysterious knight of unknown origin, leaving only death in its wake. Whatever the choices are in the end, the fate of the valley rests in the hands of champions both new and old.

Features

  • The land of Druadach, a dense new region, larger than Solstheim, packed with quests, dungeons, events, and activities.
  • Over 60 hours of content including main quests and optional activities.
  • Over 40 quests spread across new settlements and wilderness areas.
  • Over 50 new dungeons, with epic and unique settings.
  • New weapons, armor, spells, and consumable items.
  • The mod also features an original soundtrack and fully voiced NPCs—although, for now, only about half of the main characters have full voices. The team has confirmed that new voiceovers will be added in future releases.

Factions

The Lordbound features three major factions, each with its own storyline and consequences:

  • Support young Lord Haelan on his journey to uncover the truth about his family.
  • Join the Imperial Legion in an attempt to reclaim the trade route to Jehanna.
  • Fight alongside the Garshakur Orcs, defending their new home in the mountains.

How to start

To start, travel to Solitude or Whiterun. There, you’ll encounter—or be approached by—a mysterious Khajiit seeking adventurers willing to investigate rumors of tunnels leading to the Vale of Druadach.

Afterward, access can be achieved in two ways:

  • Through the tunnel in Mor Khazgur;
  • or through the Imperial tunnel northwest of Solitude.

The initial choice only defines which faction will be introduced first, but it doesn’t prevent the player from switching sides during the campaign.

Installation

While the mod is in early release (“soft launch”), some special instructions are necessary to ensure functionality of incomplete voiceovers:

  1. Install SKSE
  2. Install Fuz Ro D-oh – Silent Voice with your mod manager.
  3. Install the files from this mod page’s Downloads tab.
  4. Activate Fuz Ro D-oh.
  5. Activate Druadach.esm as well as Druadach0.esp, Druadach1.esp, Druadach2.esp.
  6. Launch Skyrim via SKSE.
  7. Ensure your subtitles are enabled.

Note that, at least as of this writing, the project is still being finalized, and the developers warn of potential bugs along the way — “not the chaurus kind.”
