Dismembering Framework
This mod for Skyrim: Special Edition called Dismembering Framework was made by Seb263. As its title suggests, introduces real-time dismemberment during combat, letting you slice off limbs mid-fight with brutal precision. It also adds realistic blood effects and sound cues that vary depending on weapon and armor type, enhancing immersion dramatically.
Unlike most other combat mods, this one doesn’t rely on Papyrus scripting. Instead, it hooks directly into the game’s engine, allowing for smooth and lag-free execution of every dismemberment event. If you\’re looking for fluid gameplay without the usual script delays, this framework delivers.
For best results, you’ll want to pair it with the Precision mod. This combination lets you dismember enemies exactly where you strike them, making the combat system feel almost surgical — reminiscent of Die by the Sword, for those who remember the old-school PC classic.
But there’s more. Blood sprays dynamically from severed limbs with physics-based effects until the body runs dry. NPCs (including animals) can dismember each other as well, and the framework supports integration with other mods.
You’ll need SKSE64, Address Library for SKSE Plugins, and SkyUI to get it all working properly via MCM. Trust us, the setup is worth it.
