A classic reborn. Outlive—the groundbreaking Brazilian real-time strategy game heavily inspired by StarCraft, but with it’s own unique flavors, first released in 2000—is making a triumphant return in 2025 with Outlive 25 — a remastered edition built by the original team at Continuum Entertainment, and published by Nuuvem.
Developed during a golden age for RTS titles, Outlive stood out as a pioneer not just in Brazil, but across the world. It was among the first Brazilian games to gain international distribution — even landing in North America and Europe through Take-Two Interactive, the publisher behind Grand Theft Auto. Now, a quarter-century later, the same creators have reunited to bring the universe of Outlive back to life.
“Outlive was innovative and pioneering in many aspects, allowing a Brazilian product to compete with the biggest strategy titles on the market. For years, fans have asked us to bring it back — and now, on its 25th anniversary, we decided the time has come,” says Rafael Dolzan, game designer at Continuum and creator of the original Outlive.

A modern remaster with the soul of a classic
Outlive 25 has been rebuilt from the ground up with enhanced graphics and sound, full support for modern hardware, widescreen resolutions, and an updated Campaign Editor. Players will once again choose between Humans or Robots as they fight for control of Earth’s dwindling resources across three story-driven campaigns.

- Campaign Editor – Create and share your own maps and missions with other players.
- Research Tree – Upgrade your units and structures mid-battle to tailor your strategy.
- Espionage & Counterespionage – Scout enemy bases, intercept missiles, and execute covert operations.

- Diplomacy – Forge alliances to crush your opponents.
- Online Multiplayer – Engage in intense online battles for up to 16 players via Steam.

A demo for Steam Next Fest
A standalone demo will be available starting October 10th, coinciding with Steam Next Fest. This demo reimagines the original 2000 preview version, featuring a prologue campaign that sets the stage for the full game. It’s single-player only for now, but the complete edition will include full multiplayer functionality.
“Outlive 25 will feature improved visuals and audio, modern monitor support, and a completely revitalized Campaign Editor. More than a simple remaster, it marks the rebirth of the Outlive Universe — with more surprises ahead,” celebrates Alexandre Vrubel, Continuum’s lead programmer.
