In this video, originally published in the Old Miser‘s channel in January 4th, 2012, you have me killing an enemy from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the popular 2011 action-RPG from Bethesda, named Volsung, on the Master difficulty level.

Volsung is one of the eight high-ranking Dragon Priests in this game. He is extremely skilled in Destruction, Conjuration, Alteration, and Restoration, with level 100 in each of the aforementioned skills. He also possesses exceptionally high magic resistance, so it’s best to sneak up and use a bow or crossbow to fight him, although Old Miser did otherwise.

It’s also possible to distract him with essential followers and then drain his magicka with the Staff of Magnus, as he also has a staff that deals shock damage. Both weapons allow you to simultaneously drain his health and magicka.

When Volsung is eliminated, he drops the Volsung Mask, which is shown in the video and improves prices by 20%, increases carrying weight by 20 points, and grants water breathing. The mask is one of the eight mysterious dragon priest masks located throughout Skyrim. Collecting all eight masks is a requirement for the unmarked quest to restore the dragon priest shrine.

This creature can be found in Volskygge in northwestern Skyrim, but it can also be found without entering that region. Note that you can simply climb the mountain above the entrance and skip the dungeon entirely. Simply go to the mountain above the first area of the ruin, climb up and find the summit. There will be a word wall and Volsung’s coffin; as Volsung climbs up, he can be killed and his mask looted. The “word wall” can also be used, all without having to go through all the areas of Volskygge.
